Nähanleitung Hundekotbeutelspender- Sewing tutorial Dog Waste Bag Dispenser

etwa 10 cm Band
passendes Nähgarn
Nähmaschine

A nice theme - I know ;) I just started to design and sew some thingies for dogs and started with this dispenser. It´s easy to sew, so maybe one or other of you would like to make one, too....

You need:

fabric - about 4,5" x 8,75"
1 key ring
1 snap fastener or velcro
a piece of ribbon - about 4"
matching thread
sewing machine

Turn over the short ends and sew them down.

On one side you sew a button hole about 2" from the edge.

Attach the snap fastener or the velcro to the short edges on the "wrong" side of the fabric (the inside of the dispenser), on one side also attach the ribbon with the key ring.

Now fold the bag right sides together and sew and neaten the two edges. Pull apart the bottom until there are two triangles.

Stitch a seam on both triangles, at a right angle to the bottom fold.

I stitched small seams  from the side seams to the opening.

Now turn over your little dispenser, insert your roll of bags, pull the end through the button hole and Voilà!

Happy Women - Art Journal Page

For this art journal page I got inspired by a quote by Nicole Hollander: "Can you imagine a world without men? No crime and lots of happy fat women!" So it had to be a "happy page" with happy colors. I stamped and heat-embossed the circles/dots with clear embossing powder and added Dylusion ink sprays for the background. Than I drew the ladies and painted their dresses with shimmering acrylics.

New Art Journal Pages

These are my newest journal pages. Hmmm, but I´m not sure if the first one is already finished. I think I´ll let it sit for a while and see if it "speaks" to me. What do you think?

I think I should start to follow this advice more often ;)

I just love this poem by Eichendorff!

29faces - Day 2

Here´s my second face for the challenge. I´ll take my first one as a "warm-up" and plan to go on with more realistic faces - and colored pencils.

Art Journal and Pages for the Documented Life Project

Here are pics of my journal and the first pages I made for the Documented Life Project:

Weeks´ 1 challenge was to incorporate a sketch, photo or whatever of your front door:

 The second challenge was "Selfie":

For week 3 we had to add an envelope we received in the mail to our pages:

For week 4 we were challenged to write a secret message and then paint over it leaving one word stand out:

Coffee Time - Journal Spread

This page started out with this background I made earlier. I didn´t really like it, so I covered it with collage and paint;)

Here´s the spread after I added some scrapbook papers, book pages, music sheets and patterned tissue paper.
After that I added some acrylic paint and stenciled with texture paste. I also added some "coffee stains" with brown acrylic paint.

I drew some coffee cups on scrapbook paper and cut these out. The "coffee" was added with marker.

A little more stamping and stenciling.....

The finished page with the coffee cups, parts of a paper napkin with coffee beans and a few words. For the edges I used black distress ink. The white dots were added with a correction pen. I often use these for white doodles - cheaper than a white gel or ink pen ;)

I´m soooo excited! I was awarded first place at the monthly contest for December 2013 at ATCsforAll! The theme was "Stained Glass".

Happy Dance :) :) :)

I´m back ;)

Happy New Year to all of you!

(it´s still January, so it´s okay to say this still, isn´t it?)

To get me back into arting on a regular basis - and also into blogging - again, I signed up for the 29 Faces Art Challenge for February 2014 (check out the link on the right). And I want to get back into art journaling, so I joined Journal 52 and The Documented Life.

We´ll see where this will lead me :) Check back later for pictures :)
